Backyard Swimming

Sawyer begged to go to a pool, so we got this little baby one to put in the garden.  Lyla wouldn't step in if Sawyer was near so he practically had it all to himself.  It was small, but he made up lots of games to play in it.  His favorite was to sing a song about Mom dunking him in the water, with the point being that I would actually push him down before the song was over.  The more violent the push the better.  There was a time that he was begging me to dunk his face under the water, so we had a talk about water safety.  The result was not less dangerous behavior, but an obsessive use of the word "drowning."  Ahhh...
