On our last day in San Francisco we packed up our things and travelled south to Monterey to check out the famous Monterey Aquarium. I wish I had taken more pictures, but between Sawyer, Lyla, Jonathan, and me, we were either too excited or too tired to actually find the right moment to snap photos. (Read: We were either chasing after Sawyer and explaining to him why he had to stay with us, or trying to mitigate tantrums which were more frequent and much more violent because of lack of sleep...on all of our parts.)
Goodbye San Francisco! Every time we walked out of our apartment door the Transamerica Pyramid was the first thing we would see. Each time Sawyer would point down the hill at it and yell, "SAN FRANCISCO!!!"
Lyla was particularly enthralled by the many varieties of jelly-fish on display. In this exhibit, the aquarium fashioned tanks to be like lava-lamps and gave the whole thing a 60's vibe. Psychedelic.
