Strads 365, Entry #242: San Francisco Day 2, Yosemite National Park

On Monday we woke up and saw on the news that the wildfires in Yosemite were growing and that firefighters were closing off large portions of the park.  We got nervous that by the end of the week, when we had our trip to Yosemite scheduled, that the park would either be burned over or filled with smoke.  So, we packed up and drove 6 hours, after detours because of closed roads and our own bad navigation, to majestic Yosemite National Park.  And oh was it a magical place.

Sunrise over the Bay Bridge.

We made it, finally!

Lyla thought the water was too cold to put her feet in.

Sawyer had no problem with it.

Here she is again.

She gets brave and tries again.

Nope! Too cold.

Then she sat like this until we took her off of her rock.

We had to hold Sawyer back from patting this little dear.

We are the little ants in the corner of the photo.

Sunset and goodbye to Yosemite.

Holy cow that place is gorgeous! I've never been and now I want to go tomorrow.
The picture of lyla on the rock with get legs straight out is priceless.
